As a love letter to nature, 56 student wearable designs incorporated sustainable materials to create garments that acted as a organic extension to the human body. Set within a repurposed barn, the show is curated to transform the space into a contemporary mystical woodland. The show was a collaborative effort of dozens of models, fashion designers, set designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, as well as performances from Outlaws dance troupe and DJ set by Maria and Cory. The show was presented to more than 200 audience members within a runtime of 25 minutes.
As the creative director, I was specifically inspired by works of Neri Oxman and the Jane Goodall. With our first show post-Pandemic, I saw it fitting to dedicate the showcase to themes of nature, evoking a sense of growth and recovery.
